Where is The Blue Mountains?
The municipality of The Blue Mountains is located on the southern shores of Georgian Bay, on the Niagara Escarpment, a UNESCO World Biosphere Reserve.
The municipality is about a 2.5-hour drive from the Greater Toronto Area. The region is most easily visited by car or motorcycle, although bus service to Blue Mountain Resort is available year-round from various starting points, including public transit from Wasaga Beach.

Each June, Blue Mountain Village hosts the five-day Blue Mountain Film Festival. Catch the best of international and Canadian cinema, along with various events and parties.
Make it a spa day
Located just a short drive from Blue Mountain Resort, the luxurious Scandinave Spa Blue Mountain offers rest and relaxation year-round, surrounded by 10 hectares of natural forest.
Stop in at a brew pub
Named after nearby Northwinds Beach, the Northwinds Brewhouse & Kitchen serves up seasonal pub-style dishes served alongside fresh craft-brewed beers made right on the premises.
Ride a mountain coaster
Zoom down a one-kilometre track built on the side of a mountain. The Ridge Runner Mountain Coaster lets you control your own speed for a leisurely tour or seat-of-your-pants thrill ride.
Glide along an ice trail
Lace up and glide along the 1.1-kilometre Woodview Mountaintop Skating loop, a Blue Mountain ice skating trail with views of the Niagara Escarpment. Skate rentals are available.
Hit the slopes
One of Ontario’s premier ski destinations, Blue Mountain Resort offers 43 ski and snowboard trails including a freestyle terrain park complete with halfpipe, rails and other obstacles.
