By car: Covent Garden Market is located in the heart of London’s downtown district and can be reached via the ON-401 East or West. Free on-site parking is available.

By transit: VIA Rail provides regular train service to London. From the train station, the market is an eight-minute walk north.

By bike: Secure bike lockers can be found on the P1 level of the market’s parking garage.

Know before you go

Covent Garden Market hours are 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Mondays to Saturdays and 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Sundays.

Your first hour of parking during Market hours is free on Mondays to Fridays. On Saturdays and Sundays, your first two hours of parking is free.

The skating rink is typically open between December and March, weather permitting. Check the market website before visiting.

Interesting facts about Covent Garden Market

The Covent Garden Market started as London’s first government-licensed public fair in 1835. By 1853, the London City Council ordered the construction of a white-brick building that was to be the Covent Garden Market House.
