The Mount St. Louis Moonstone ski resort in southern Ontario is dedicated to delivering epic downhill skiing and snowboarding adventures, from beginner level to the most advanced.

How to get to Mount St. Louis Moonstone
Location: R.R.4, 24 Mount St. Louis Road West, Coldwater
By car: Located minutes south of Coldwater, Mount St. Louis Moonstone sits in the centre of Ontario’s snow belt region. For driving directions, check the Mount St. Louis Moonstone website. Free parking is available on-site.
By transit: GO Transit and Ontario Northland provide regular service to Barrie. From Barrie, take a local taxi to Mount St. Louis Moonstone.
Know before you go
Generally, Mount St. Louis Moonstone is open from December to March. This may change depending on snow conditions. Before you visit, check the mountain status.
Louis Xpress Card daily lift tickets must be bought online and picked up at self-serve ticket kiosks in the ski resort.
The ski resort takes cashless payments only. Load cash to your Louis Xpress Card at Guest Service locations in the resort.

Interesting facts about Mount St. Louis Moonstone
In the fall of 1963, avid skier and Austrian National Alpine competitor Josl Huter bought a property across the valley from Horseshoe Valley Resort. Recognizing the property’s potential, Huter staked out trail locations, then brought a crew of lumberjacks to cut down the trees and a bulldozing company to clear the rocks and build the trails. Mount St. Louis opened in December 1964.
The Moonstone ski resort has grown exponentially over the years. A state-of-the-art snowmaking facility, extra runs, the first triple chair lift in Canada and additional wings to the chalet were added.
